Many of our dining customers frequently inquire about the history of the building in which our Seven Seas Restaurant is situated.  Our family and staff are proud to have such a unique location on beautiful Nagawicka Lake in the heart of Waukesha County’s Lake Country Communities.  As a High School Project, I did some research about this property’s history and background and the following is a summary of the owners and business operations over the past 100 plus years.

1902-1903 - Pete Peterson Built the Complex

1905 - Hasslinger’s Pleasant View Hotel & Resort

1906 - Messerschmidt Resort

1908 - Rice Resort

1911 - “Green Gables” McNary Borthers Osteopathic Sanitarium

1932-1946 - “Tekekwitha Lodge” Catholic Archdiocese Retreat Center East Beach Hotel Camp for Girls

1946 - Behrend Hotel Resort

1960 - ULS – University Lake School – Prior to Completion of new Facilities

1961 - Seven Seas – Dan Moran & Lee Richards
